Egarus Fungus
Antimatter mould. A tiny plant.
Imagine a spongy white shapeless mould that floats mid-air. Everything around it is gone, disintegrated.

It is immune to physical damage (it eats it) and being stunned. It can detect physical matter in its vicinity. It can’t see or hear. Additionally, the fungus is entirely sticky. It gets stuck to anything it touches and a fortitude roll is required to remove it (It will then be stuck to the thing that removed it). Any damage it takes while stuck on a creature is also taken by the creature.
Attacks (1/round)
Process. The fungus does the first action in this list it has a valid target for, in this order:
- Absorb Magic. The fungus ends one magical effect or property on its attachment. It has a 1/6 chance to duplicate.
- Consume Object. The fungus consumes 1 object (max 5’) it is attached to. It has a 1/6 chance to duplicate.
- Consume Organism. The fungus inflicts (3D6) acid damage to the creature it is attached to. 1/6 chance to duplicate.
- Attraction. The fungus sticks itself to the closest object it can perceive.
Random Encounter
- Monster: 1D10 egarus fungus.
- Lair: A perfectly empty space.
OR
Omen: The sound of a wet sponge hitting a surface. - Spoor: An area has disappeared.
- Tracks: Void.
- Trace: Acid vials (to ward off the fungus).
- Trace: Mural or writing telling the story of a planet being devoured by goo.
Salvaging the body
How do you even salvage a plant that consumes everything it touches? If you find how, it would be extremely dangerous and valuable.

Egarus fungi are a strange Planescape monster it was very fun to adapt such a deadly and weird creature. I simply streamlined it and opened more opportunities to deal with it creatively: the original was only affected by a handful of specific spells. — SaltyGoo
